Brussels Airlines is a private airline, formed in 2002 and owned by Virgin Express and the German Lufthansa.
Since then it has successfully positioned itself as a discount airline with direct booking, yet at the same has avoided descending down the minimal service path of the no-frills discount airlines. This gives it a number of advantages over the competition.
